Priscilla M. FOWLER Priscilla McFee Fowler 97, passed away February 27, 2011 in Des Moines, WA. Priscilla was born in Seattle and was a long-time resident of the Des Moines area. In 1939 she married Clarence Fowler who preceded her in death. They were married 43 years and made their home in Zenith where they raised their two children, Catherine and James. Priscilla held a variety of jobs during here career. She worked in accounting for Western Union during the Depression. During World War II she was employed by the Signal Corps. Afterthe war she worked at University Printing as a typesetter and proofreader and then went on to a career of 26 years with Valley Newspapers in Kent. 'Dolly', as she was know to family and friends, loved to entertain. She hosted a picnic for the entire neighborhood for over 40 years. She also loved cooking and gardening, and all the canning and preserving that went with it. Besides her two children she is survived by three grandchildren, Dan, Lisa and Jason, seven great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 22975 24th Ave S, Des Moines, Friday, March 11 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Elder & Adult Day Services (EADS), 12831 NE 21st Pl., Bellevue WA 98005.
