Ray A. PETERSON Ray A. Peterson, 93, of Bellevue, Washington, passed on Monday, April 25, 2011. He was born April 27, 1917 at Grass Range, Montana to Mabel and Albert Peterson. Ray gradu ated from Fergus County High School in Lewistown Montana in 1935, attended Montana State Uni versity, and later attended and graduated from The University of Washington. As a communications officer with the 15th Infantry Regiment, Ray participated in the World War II invasion of North Africa. The Petersons moved to Bellevue in 1954. His wife and best friend Betty preceded him in death in 1989; his father moved to Bellevue a year later (at age 100) and lived to age 103. Ray is survived by his son, Eric Ray Peterson, Eric's spouse, Marjie, and their children Aimee Ishikawa, Kelsey Peterson and Nicholas Peterson, and by his son Steven Mascar Peterson, and Steve's children Evan Peterson and Joanne Peterson. He has one great-grandchild, Leila Ishikawa. A memorial / celebration service for Ray - one of the world's truly nice, honest and loyal people - will be held at 2pm on Saturday, May 7th at Eric Peterson's home, 2121 Blarney Place SE, Bellevue, Washington.
