Robert Howard Hope

Robert Howard HOPE Born November 4, 1941, in Seattle, WA; passed away January 30, 2006, at home in Maple Valley, WA. Bob is survived by Marcia, his wife of 44 years, and his five children and ten grandchildren: Robert, Leslie, Axel, Elliot and Zachary Hope of Renton; Deborah, Brad, Katie and Erik Simmons of Renton; Mary, Wayne, Jacob and Megan Rinz of Renton; John, Christine, Draven and Wiley Hope of Covington; Tom, Shannon and Nathan Hope of Maple Valley. He is also survived by his brothers, Lee Hope of Whidbey Island and Richie Drawsky of Shoreline. Thank you from all of us for teaching us to live with open minds, open hearts, and open hands; and showing us how to die with faith, grace and peace. Bob was a retired Seattle firefighter who loved to travel, golf, play pinochle and will have the best seat of all of us for the Superbowl. But his passion was his family - especially the grandchildren. He will remain with us through all the great memories of our life together. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 6, 10:00 a.m., at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Black Diamond. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Missions Office, Archdiocese of Seattle, 910 Marion St, Seattle, WA 98104.
