Ruth Ellen WINDUST Ruth Ellen Windust, of Edmonds, went peacefully in her sleep at home March 2, 2011, where she had lived for 49 years. She was born on May 4, 1918, in the family home on Queen Anne Hill. She graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1936. Ruth had worked for many yearsas an executive secretary in the transportation / freight business, where she met Thomas Windust (deceased).They were married in 1981. During her residence at her current home in Edmonds, she gradually built up a beautiful garden and yard. She got great enjoyment out of giving her prize blueberries to neighbors and family. Ruth always had a very positive attitude, despite several traumatic events in her life; this good attitude became famous to all who knew her. She is survived by her son Larry Blair, daughter Nancy Reynolds, and son-in-law Jim Reynolds, grandsons Martin Reynolds, Larry Blair, Joe Reynolds, Lance Blair (deceased), Bill Reynolds, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held inthe Chapel at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, Seattle, on Friday, March 11, at 12 Noon, with a reception and refreshments following.
