Shawn Loren KELLOGG Shawn was born November 4, 1974 in Nairobi, Kenya, to Richard and Peggy Kellogg. He died April 2, 2011 at Providence Hospital, Everett. Shawn grew up in the sunshine of Kisumu, Kenya, and moved to the Seattle area with his family when he was 5½ years old. He attended North Seattle Christian School, Shoreline Community College, and Northwest University. He rowed on the Green Lake Crew, and enjoyed it immensely. Shawn served in Youth With A Mission in Switzerland and Bolivia. He worked at all kinds of jobs, and was good at whatever he did. Shawn enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, motorcycling, SCUBA diving, hiking and camping, and hanging out with friends. He fished in Alaska out of Dutch Harbor. Shawn had plenty of struggles in life, and always thought he would be able to overcome them. Now his struggles are over. He loved Jesus, and wanted to be used of God. Shawn was a lover of people, and people enjoyed Shawn. He was great fun to be with and talk to. Shawn is survived by his parents; his brother, Chad; his grandmother, Leona Cettolin; his aunts, Kathryn Kellogg, Debbie Kellogg, Paulette Stickland, and Sheryl Love; his uncles, Brent Kellogg, Bill Stickland, and Don Stickland. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, April 7 at The Westside Church, 7758 Earl Avenue NW, Seattle, WA 98177. Memorial gifts may be made to New Heart Place, care of Westgate Chapel, 22901 Edmonds Way, Edmonds, WA 98020.
