Barbara Houk WORTHINGTON April 22, 1954 ~ December 4, 2011 Barbara, one of 5 children born to Lawrence and Beverly Houk started life southern CA. In the mid 60's the family moved to WA State and became an avid boating family. After graduating from the UW, Barbara explored Europe for 2 months prior to entering the advertising profession as a media buyer. She loved family and being a mom. She carried on the boating tradition with her own family as her kids were growing up. Barbara passed away from complications of a stroke. Despite the battle, she always had a smile for everyone and that is how we will always remember her. Barbara is survived by her husband Peter, children Brooke and Britt, grandson Riley, her mother Beverly, siblings; Bruce, Laurel, Larry and Greg, 3 nieces and a nephew. Memorial service will be held at Sunset Hills Funeral Home on Tuesday Dec. 20, 2011 at 11:00 am.

I am so sorry for your loss though take refuge in the fact Barb's suffering is done. She was truly the kindest of people. Barb made an important part of my life a happy, more enjoyable time. I know I speak for many that Barb's memory will live in our hearts and thoughts.
