Dear Pam,
Since the first time we met I felt a close connection to you. When Mike and I were married I was happy to be a part of such a big loving family. Since the beginning I have always thought of you as and aunt and an uncle. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. You both have been there for everything for our family, wedding, births (x4) and even Mike's promotion in the fire department. You may think, "well geez, not everything"... but the truth is, you both loved us. Which means you have always had our best interest at heart. We love you both with our entire hearts too. Pam, I can't imagine how you must feel right now. You are a strong and loving woman which will play its part now. We are so sorry that you lost your best friend of all these years. His love will continue to grow in our hearts, as well as in the people who love him and will always love him and especially in the heart of His grandchild who he Loved entirely. She will always have that Love with her. His Love is a part of her heart.
We adore you Pam. We will continue to pray for "uncle" Mike and You and your family and we cannot wait to embrace you in a Loving hug. Take care sweet Pam,
the M.Atkinson Jr. Family

Dear Pam,
Sadly, I wasn't able to join you and your family on Friday to celebrate Mike's life and to give you a hug. These words will have to suffice.
Saint Theresa's prayer says:
May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing that you are a child of God...
Let this presence settle into your bones and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, priase and love. It is there for each and everyone of you.
My thoughts are with you.

To Caitlyn: This is a very sad day for many people. Today is the day we say good bye to a very good man -- your papa and our very good friend. Its a sad day because as friends, we were suppose to grow old together. As his granddaughter, you were suppose to grow up with this good man in your life -- teaching you, guiding you and doing all the fun, crazy things grandpa's do with their grandchildren & that includes playing golf at the crack of dawn!!! I made a promise to your papa that I would see to it that you learned to play golf (& I'll tell you about every course and hole we played over the years). Caitlyn, you were the shining light in your papa's eyes and love of his life in the few months he had with you. He was a very proud papa and as you grow up, there will be many, many stories you will hear about him and what a good man he was and how much he loved his family and friends. I hope I'll be able to tell you my stories about him. We had many good times together. We knew each other for over 40 years which is a long time, but it wasn't enough time. As your Grandma Pam says, this just isn't fair. The love we all shared with your papa will stay with us forever.
Lovingly,
