Janet Bumgardner Obituary
Janet Swegle Bumgardner of Newcastle passed away on or near March 18, following a long illness. Daughter of Bob and Barbara Swegle, she was born in Seattle on March 29, 1956. She attended college at Western Washington, finishing at the University of Washington, after which she married Fred Martin, a union producing Brianna Martin, now pursuing a doctorate in Australia.
With the end of that marriage Janet entered into stock trading. Later she returned to college to study commercial real estate development, after which she was engaged in that field for a number of years. During that time she married Phil Bumgardner. Michael Bumgardner was the gift which followed. Recent years brought the declining health which led to her passage.
Janet is survived by Phil; daughter Brianna and son Michael. She is survived too by father Bob; brothers Bob Jr., Jim, and Paul, and sister Debby Williams.
A memorial service will be held Sunday March 29, 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in Bellevue, with a reception following interment.

I knew Janet when I worked at Eddie Bauer. She was always so cheerful and helpful. Such a good person a gem. We shared lots of stories. It was a sad shock when I heard about her passing. Such a great loss for everyone who knew her and loved her. May you rest in peace sweet Janet and be free of all your pain. Love you Janet!!
