Nicholas Lacy Obituary

Nicholas Lacy

Nicholas Allen Lacy, 80, of Seattle Washington passed away May 3, 2015. Nick was born in Seattle Washington to Ruth and Alan Lacy and was the youngest of 3 boys. Nick attended Garfield High School, graduating in 1952, and the University of Washington class of 1956. He had a successful career in the radio business in Seattle as a dance host, DJ, and radio sales executive. He loved going to work everyday as an Account Executive for KOMO Radio for thirty years.

Boating and cars were two of his favorite hobbies, but family was the most important thing to him. He always enjoyed planning the next family get together and cherished having everyone around. He loved vacations in Chelan, driving to Mazatlan, Mexico, and all his friends and neighbors in Magnolia.

Nick will be missed by his children, Tim (Ann) Lacy, Susan Lacy, Sheila (Doug) Goodell, and Jennifer (Tom) O'Brien, and his grandchildren; Trenton Price, Melody and Trina Recktenwald, Calvin MacKnight, Micheala and Lily Saranto, Jake, Jimmy, and Jackson O'Brien, great granddaughter River Marie LeMere, nephews Chris and Alan Lacy, and nieces, Pamela West, Melinda McAlister and Jeannine Lacy, and former wife, Judy Par.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and favorite cat, Whiskers.

A memorial will be held at Bayview Manor, 11 West Aloha Street, on lower Queen Anne, on May 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Seattle Public Library.

To Shelia, Jenny, Tim and families,
We are so sad to hear of Uncle Nick's passing. He was a true character. Bigger than life and I am so glad that I was able to get together with him in Seattle several years ago for dinner. I think that he enjoyed that night more meeting my young, beautiful Brazilian co-worker who I was traveling with. Of course he was his flirty, funny self. Love to you all.
