Siegfried Kohl

Sig passed away at his home in Kirkland on April 11, 2016 after a courageous fight with cancer (Rhabdomyosarcoma). Sig died surrounded by friends, family and his girlfriend Ana Almeida.

Sig was born in Bellevue, WA on March 28, 1970 to Manfred and Rose Kohl. Sig attended Bellevue High School, graduating in 1988. He continued his education at Central Washington University and graduated with a BS in Paramedicine. After a short period of time he accepted a position at Whidbey Island Hospital as a paramedic. Sig worked at the hospital until he began cancer treatment with SCCA in early 2014.

Sig loved life, sports and travel. He never missed a good party. He was a dedicated athlete, starting with soccer in Elementary School. His rugby activities expanded his travel opportunities, allowing Sig to visit Australia, Africa, South America, Europe, and several Pacific Islands. He fell in love with Fiji and its people.

He is survived by his parents Manfred & Rose Kohl, brother Harald, sister-in-law Melinda, niece Kiera & nephew Liam.

Sig never gave up. He will be greatly missed by his family and his extensive national and international circle of friends.
