It was with heavy heart that I read of Felis' passing. We had lost track of one another over the years. I will forever cherish the Green Lake painting Felis gave me so many years ago, when we worked together at The Seattle Times. Felis was much more than just a phenomenal artist. He was soft spoken, found beauty in everything, was both philosophical and spiritual and a dear friend to so many. His legacy will live on in his art and the kindness and empathy he showed throughout his lifetime. My sincerest condolences to the family.

Felis gave me a watercolor when I left the Seattle Times that is still one of my favorite pieces of art; many years and many art acquisitions later. I treasure it not only because it is beautiful, but because he put his heart into it. He did that with everything. I am sorry to hear of his fight against Parkinson's and know that his family will see Felis in his work for many generations to come.

Jessica, Nacio and Xavier -
Rob and I were very sad to hear of Felis' passing. We remember Felis as a good, generous and kind man - and all of you as good neighbors. Our deepest condolences at this difficult time.
Love from Carole (Antoncich) and Rob (Haberman)
