Dolores Ann Gallrein, 87, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Raywick, KY to Anna Nally Lamkin and Earl Lamkin. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Catholic Church of the Annunciation in Shelbyville.

Besides being predeceased by her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Joseph "Snook" Lamkin, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, William H. Gallrein, Sr. of Shelbyville; her daughters, Michelle Block (Glenn) of Shelby County, Gayle Gutterman of Palm Coast, FL, and Laura Nelson (Jerry) of Meade County; her son, Bill Gallrein, Jr. (Randie) of Shelby County; her eight grandchildren, John McQuade, III (Marie Anne) of Boise, ID; Matthew McQuade (Jessica) of Georgetown, Annie Bruce (Chris) of Palm Coast, FL, Andrew Gutterman (Erel Topuz) of New York, NY, Alex Gutterman (Heidi) of Palm Coast, FL, Tim McCullough of Shelby County, Lt. Commander Justin Gallrein of San Diego, CA, and Hayley Gallrein of Shelby County; and her ten great-grandchildren: Hannah and Brennan McQuade of Boise, ID; Brynlie and Rylie McQuade of Georgetown; Kaylea and Keegan Bruce of Palm Coast, FL; Leisl Gutterman of Palm Coast, FL; Adalyn Gallrein and Remi and Raylyn Schmitt, all of Shelby County, KY;

Depths of gratitude goes to her care-givers, Laura Gallrein Nelson and Janet Abell for their extensive time and devotion. More thanks and blessings to Debbie Gutterman, Britney Vessels, Tammy Wallace, and Glenna Shuck.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation with Father Mike Tobin officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Shannon Funeral Home and 9-10 a.m. Friday at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation. A prayer vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday during the visitation time at the funeral home.
