Peggy Jean Whisman Finley, 68, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, January 26, 2019 at her residence. She was a native of Shelby County and had worked as a medical assistant with Family Allergy & Asthma in Shelbyville for a number of years. She enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith Show and Judge Judy, as well as listening to country music. For example, on her days off, she volunteered with an area church by cleaning elderly people's homes and bringing them food.

She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Whisman. She is survived by her son, Lance Whisman (Khristy) of Decatur, TX; her mother, Catherine Whisman of Shelbyville; her sister, Carol Craig (Grady) of Shelbyville; her brother, Steve Whisman (Erin) of Shelbyville; her granddaughters, Brittany Westerfield (Brandon) of Jeffersonville, IN and Bailey Whisman of Decatur, TX; and her great granddaughter, Brinley Westerfield of Jeffersonville, IN.
