Brendan Michael O'Brien, beloved husband of the late Irma O'Brien; cherished son of Rosemary and John O'Brien; treasured brother of John and Caitlin-Rose O'Brien; prized grandson of the late Rose and William Scott and Eileen and Jack O'Brien; dearest nephew and Godson of Michael and Maria O'Brien, nephew of Ana and Charlie Dub, William Scott II, Michael and Rebecca Scott, Romelia Scott and Joe Trott, Edward and Jody Scott, Julia and Patrick Coffey, and Daniel O'Brien. Predeceased by loving uncle Patrick B. O'Brien.Loving cousin of Sean (Gina) Coffey, Patrick (Lisa) Coffey, Mary Coffey, Dennis (Thelma) Coffey, Christopher and Samantha O'Brien, Hannah and Brigid O'Brien, Madeline Dub, Angelica Scott, Vincent Lee Scott, and Siobhan Scott. Preceded in death by beloved cousin Steven Dub and infant cousins Megan, Michael, Sarah, and Matthew O'Brien. Cherished great-nephew of Teresa Scott of Arizona and Lillian Tercero. Also survived by numerous cousins.
A native of San Francisco, Brendan was born on October 3, 1984. He graduated from School of the Epiphany, Archbishop Riordan High School, and attended City College of San Francisco. Brendan was an avid 49ers and Giants fan and an adventurous world traveler who enjoyed immersing himself in different cultures and cuisines of the world.
An employee of Costco for many years, Brendan then pursued his dream of becoming a United States Marine Corps Reservist and also a proud member of the Oakland Police Department.
Friends may visit Sunday(today) from 12:00pm - 3:00pm at the chapels of Valente Marini Perata & Co., 4840 Mission St., San Francisco and are also invited to visit Monday, October 5, 2015 after 6:00pm and to attend the Vigil Service at 7:00pm at Church of the Epiphany, 827 Vienna Street, San Francisco. Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, October 6, 2015 11:00am at Church of the Epiphany followed by Committal Services at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences will be offered at www.vmpandco.com
