Robert "Bob" William Stark
Robert William Stark (Bob Stark), age 62, passed away at his home in San Francisco on Monday, November 5, 2012, following a three-year battle with cancer. He was born in Davenport, Iowa, on August 1, 1950, to William Rex and Jacqueline Louise
(Adams) Stark Mundt.
He attended the University of Iowa, Iowa City, graduating in 1971 with a Theater Arts degree. Following graduation, he headed West to San Francisco to pursue his passion, singing and acting. His love for music and entertaining people led to a stage career in small clubs and cabarets. In 1979, he started a successful thirty-year career as real estate agent, later transferring his knowledge to become a successful mortgage consultant. He earned the respect of his colleges and clients. Many of his past clients sensed his love for the business and his sincerity, and became longtime friends. He is remembered for the loving devotion he gave to his life partner of thirty-five years, Robert, for his tremendous sense of humor, and also for his hearty laugh and tremendous wit.
Bob is survived by his loving and beloved husband, Robert Diohep; his dog Winston; his sister Kaye (Dick) Thiessen; his brothers Jim Mundt and Paul Mundt and his nieces and nephews Pam Jennings (Billy Heuer), Alicia Jennings, Erica Jennings, Reed Jennings, Lynn (Tim) Baker, Gabrielle Baker, and Grant Baker as well as many cousins and family in the Mid-west.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Mundt; his father, William Stark, and his stepfather, Robert Mundt.
At Bob's request, no funeral service will be held. A Memorial-Celebration of Life is scheduled in December for friends and family.
