Asuncion Baguna Panlibuton Born November 5, 1924 died December 13, 2011 in Dao Antique, Philippines. She fought for decent, affordable senior housing in Manilatown, San Francisco-the International Hotel. She organized Filipino Residential Care Home Operators and had care homes for over 30 years. Co-founder of Northern/Southern United Antiquenos in California. She showed that wealth is measured by the love, compassion and generosity given to others. Preceded in death by Higino Baguna, Gregorio and Gregory Panlibuton. Survived by children Annie Panlibuton-Barnes, Henry Panlibuton, grandchildren Matthew, Joseph, and Sarah Barnes, Nicholas and Oliver Panlibuton and great granddaughter Isabella Barnes. Funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, San Francisco on Friday December 30 at 10am followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma, CA. Donations will establish the Asuncion Panlibuton Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Annie Barnes, PO Box 479, Upper Lake, CA 95485.
