Beva was a woman of poise and grace whose presence had a sweet, calming effect on those around her. She was the embodiment of a welcoming and listening priest's wife while serving alongside her beloved husband, the Rev. Peter Farmer, and yet she had her own independent life as well, always the artist, the patient observer, the one of quiet simple elegance who was acknowledged and respected in her own right. She was ahead of her time.

Beva was a dearly beloved close friend to my aunt, Sylvia Broadbent. She was part of a very special group of people that inspired my whole artistic life that followed. What a beautiful soul who was deeply loved and appreciated.
