Eamon Bowler

September 2, 1935 - November 20, 2018

The Man, The Myth, The Legend – Entered into eternal rest on November 20, 2018 at home with his family by his side. He was a longtime resident of San Bruno

Eamon was 83 years old. He was born September 2, 1935 to Edward & Rose Bowler (deceased). Loving brother to Patrick Bowler (Judy). He was a native of San Francisco, attended St Anne's school and Riordan High School. He grew up in the Sunset District.

Eamon is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Jane. He was a devoted father to Susie Hendrick, Shelley Kamiyama (Russ), and Tim Bowler. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Chad Hendrick (Ashley), Shaun Nelson (Kelsey) , Amanda Nelson, Bailey & Isabella Bowler and great grandpa to Tiernan Hendrick., brother-in-law to Sandy Tallerico (Joe- deceased) and Uncle to Shaun & Tom Bowler.

After high school, Eamon joined the Navy and served in the Korean War. He worked for the City and County of San Francisco for 42 years, as groundskeeper for various golf courses and was a Municipal Stadium Groundskeeper for Candlestick and Kezar Stadium He was known as "Kezar Ed" and when he retired he was known as "Grandpa's Daycare" – where he took care of his grandchildren when needed.

He was proud of his Irish Heritage and loved to watch college football, especially Notre Dame. He was an avid golfer. Although he would never admit it, he did like the local teams, SF Giants and SF 49er's. He was very involved in the 70's & 80's with San Bruno Youth Baseball and he was involved with Pop Warner Football. He volunteered at his grandson's school baseball teams and he was well known throughout the community. He had no filter and that's what made him special. He was one of a kind and loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was loved by many.

Services will be Saturday, December 15, 2018, 11 a.m. at St. Roberts Church in San Bruno on Crystal Springs Road
