Elaine Hahn Obituary
Elaine Francis Hahn

Dec. 25, 1946- July 15, 2018

Elaine Francis Hahn, 71, passed away July 15th, 2018 at her home in Mill Valley, CA. Born December 25th (a Christmas Blessing) in Duncan, OK to Daniel J. Hahn Sr. and Yvonne F. Hahn.

Elaine was Founder, President & Chief Investment Officer of Hahn Capital Management for 30 years. She received an MBA in Corporate Finance from Columbia University and a BS in Marketing from Oklahoma State University. Prior to founding Hahn Capital Management, she was Senior Investment Officer with Jurika & Voyles, a Senior Research Analyst with TransAmerica Corporation, and a Management Consultant with Arthur D. Little.

Elaine's extreme dedication and love for her business and clients resulted in relationships that lasted many years. Success was her number one goal and she was proud that she and the Hahn Capital Management team were able to deliver excellent results consistently, year after year. Hahn Capital Management was chosen as the 2015 Mid-Cap Equity Manager of the Year by Financial Investment News' Emerging Manager Monthly. Not bad for a woman in a male-dominated industry! What a legacy she leaves.

Elaine never forgot her family and her roots in Oklahoma City. A graduate of Midwest City High School, she was excited to reunite with many friends at her 50th reunion in 2014. She generously shared her success with family and friends, as well as those less fortunate, often in the form of helping them to get training or schooling. She believed that education, along with "special angels" (people who helped her along the way), were the two key contributors to her success.

She was especially close to her sister, Kathy Hahn. The two were best friends. Kathy's son SSG Brad Hahn, currently in the Oklahoma 45th Infantry Brigade, held a special place in her heart: she adored him and he adored her. She will be dearly missed, especially at Christmas, the time every year she looked forward to coming home to Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel J. Hahn Sr. and Yvonne F. Hahn, her brothers, Daniel J. Hahn Jr. and Kenneth J. Hahn. She is survived by her sister, Kathy Hahn of Oklahoma City, nephew SSG Brad Hahn of Oklahoma City, many nieces and nephews, and so very many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held August 11, at 4:00 PM at Grace Cathedral, 1100 California Street in San Francisco. Family and friends will gather after the service in the Chapel Dining Room. A second Celebration of Life for Elaine will be held in Oklahoma City for family and friends, August 31st at Johnnie's Charcoal Broiler, 2652 W Britton Rd. from 11:30 to 1:30. Please join us to celebrate Elaine's favorite burger.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Elaine's honor to:
