Elisa Norton-Diez Obituary
Elisa Norton-Diez

Elisa Norton-Diez, since 1929 (as she liked to say), of Burlingame, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2018. Her loving children were by her side Joseph, Deborah, Julia and Nancy.
Elisa enjoyed and lived life to the fullest and shared her joy of life with everyone she met and crossed paths with. She always saw the good in people and had a great interest in those she met. She loved the arts, literature and history and especially enjoyed exploring and celebrating SF neighborhoods and restaurants. She was very active in and was a constant source of love and support in her children's lives. She treasured her friends and enjoyed time spent with Julie, Kathy, Alvin, Dennis, Lupe and Conrad.

Elisa's life story began in Pacus Mayo, Peru where, at her tender age of 18 months old, her Mother and Father decided to leave Peru with Elisa and her sister Helen for a better life in America. Elisa's new home was the Mission District in San Francisco, where she grew up, graduated from high school and married Bill at St James Church. Soon thereafter Elisa left the big city and the cooler weather as she and the family moved to Burlingame. Throughout her life Elisa spread love, volunteered and supported various charities.

Elisa is preceded in death by her son Randy, her former husband and father of her children, Bill, and her sister Helen. She is survived by her children Joseph Norton of Danville, Deborah Norton of Burlingame, Julia Norton of Petaluma and Nancy Gogan of San Mateo and their families and her grand children, Jack Norton, Alejandro Gogan and Alberto Gogan, and her brother Hank Valenza.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Elisa on August 18, please contact the family for more information.
In honor of Elisa and in lieu of flowers, enjoy life and give back as often as you are able to.
