Emma Emilie Henn

April 27, 1915- March 14, 2014

Emmy was born to Julius and Anna Dobrucki Ratz in Vienna, Austria. At the age of 21 Emmy travelled to India and later became the governess to the grandchildren of the Maharaja of Bikaner.

In 1943, her brother, Ernest Ratz was killed on the Russian front. Emmy married Max Henn in 1947 and they settled in Bangkok, Thailand. Later she worked for Pan American Airlines and was transferred to San Francisco where she lived for 60 years.

She is survived by Helga Danhorn-Lelley (Tamas), Elizabeth Danhorn, of Vienna and Thomas Danhorn (Rina) of Denver, Colorado-her only relatives. However, she will be missed by many dear friends in the San Francisco Bay area.

Many thanks to the caregivers at The Elms in San Carlos who kindly cared for Emmy for the past two years and to Pathways Hospice nurses for their compassionate care. The Neptune Society of Northern California is officiating. At Emmy's request, no services will be held.
