Besides being a doting mother, accomplished librarian, fantastic cook and fun tennis player, Georgine was a wonderful, kind and loyal friend. We met over tennis when we were in our fifties and had many laughs over our many tennis balls that went astray. Georgine, Gayley Moore, (also passed away) and I celebrated our birthdays together which were so enjoyable.
Georgine belonged to the Orinda Country Club where we often played tennis and even saw President Bill Clinton who waved to us as we stood open-mouthed watching him play golf.
She had an annual Christmas dinner at the Club and our table of about 15 women resulted in the strolling musicians serenading primarily us.
Georgine and I lost touch in 2014 when I moved to Truckee. I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to reconnect with her when I moved back to the Bay Area. She was a fantastic person and one of my best friends. May she rest in peace.
