Helene Harrington Obituary

Helene A. Harrington, Age 91, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 6, 2009 in Belmont, CA, after residing in San Mateo, CA, all of her adult life. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene F. Harrington, her parents Joseph and Emily Murphy, and her sister Mrs. Elizabeth Rossi, like Helene, all natives of San Francisco, CA. Helene is survived by her loving daughter, Angela Norton (Ken) of Hillsborough, her three adored grandsons Robert (Joanna), Michael, and Matthew Norton, her beloved brothers Edward Murphy (Lois) of Westlake Village, CA and Robert Murphy (Lynne) of Beverly Hills, CA. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins and great-nephews, Michael George Rossi, son of Loretto and Michael Rossi of San Francisco and James C. Jack IV (Crystal) of Sacramento, son of her late niece, Lynne Murphy Kollmann. Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma will be private. A Memorial Mass at 11:15 am in Celebration of her life will take place at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, San Mateo on Monday, August 17, 2009. Donations in her memory may be made to Notre Dame High School Alumnae Memorial Scholarship Fund, 1540 Ralston Avenue, Belmont, CA 94002.

Her age never seemed to be in question. She was always the sharpest person in the room. If you told a joke, most likely Lol would horn in on your punchline and steal the spotlight. You are loved by so many and will always stay in our hearts. I love you, Lol.
