To the Hamrol Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Herbert's passing. I have long admired his work ethic, especially his longtime job at Andronico's. He was one of a kind!
I always enjoyed reading his rembrances of the Quake and Fire.
He will be remembered always as a true San Franciscan.
In deepest sympathy,

Bill (and Carla), Just heard of your dad's passing. He will be on our prayer list, we promise. We loved the stories about your dad. You are fortunate to have had him as a father. God bless. - Ed & Jan

Hi Herb, I know you're up there just as happy as can be. You will be missed now & always during the 1906 earthquake celebration. I have one bit of advice, don't drive in the dark up there in heaven, not your best attribute. You are loved. May you rest in peace now and always. Georgia.

Rest in peace Herb. You were simply one of the warmest, most gracious, most loving human beings I have ever had the privledge to meet and to know. You have certainly earned, and well deserve your place in heaven. All who knew you will miss you dearly.

Herbie, as everyone called him and loved by all who knew him, was the kindest soul, and loving member of the human race. Just this past December he was made an honorary member of the NORTHERN CALIFORNIA VETERAN BOXERS ASSOCIATION (NCVBA). At our monthly luncheon, he made us laugh
with the story of his boxing days at his elementary school. The NCVBA and the gang at Andronico's coffee shop will miss him greatly. GOD Bless
you Herbie, you have earned your place among the stars.

Herb was married to my Mom for several yrs in the late 70's & early 80's. While she wasn't always the easiet woman, he still remained great to me. I remember taking a driving trip with them both back to Missouri one summer and that's when I learned how much he really loved kids. I was 12 and REALLy didn't want to be on a road trip but he made it fun & interesting......just like he made his life.
RIP Herb
