Lisa Lombardi-Vaughan Obituary

Lisa Lombardi Vaughan June 4, 1945 - October 14, 2011 A fifth generation Californian, Lisa was born in San Francisco to Oliver Maurice Lombardi and Mary Nickel James. She leaves behind her sisters, Polly O'Connor (Richard) and Gay Columbel (Lance), and brother, Peter. Lisa's life was art and she was married to another artist, Michael Vaughan. They resided in South Carolina and Cazac, France where Lisa died after heroically battling cancer. Lisa summoned her strength for a final gallery show at The Redfern Gallery in London in February. A line describing her art in the gallery catalogue's forward, 'These are things that have seen life.', is a fitting tribute to Lisa.
