Maribel Trinidad Thompson

June 20th 1970 - May 31st 2019

Maribel Trinidad Thompson passed away peacefully at her Fremont home on Friday, May 31st 2019 at the age of 48. She was the wife of Barry Thompson and he lovingly called her "Ning Ning" they shared over 17 years of marriage. Maribel was born in the city of Lebak, Mindanao, Philippines, she was the daughter Lilia and Pablo Trinidad. She graduated from Notre Dame HS in the Philippines and was employed by the Fremont Unified School District and then by San Mateo County prior to her illness.
She attended St. Anthony's Church in Menlo Park and St. Joseph's Church of Fremont. Maribel's passions were: sports especially the SF Giants, cooking, gardening, caring for her home and spending time with family and friends; she was known for her laughter and love of life. Maribel is survived by her husband Barry and daughter Christine, sisters: Digna, Pilar, Maylyn, brothers: Alberto, Aureo, Pablo, Melchor, Benito, and Ronaldo and predeceased by siblings Gloria and Efren and parents. Maribel also leaves her Chihuahuas Princess and Itzgirl in the loving care of Christine and Barry.
Friends and family are invited to a vigil on Sunday June 9th at 4pm-8pm; the vigil will conclude with the rosary at Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Road, Redwood City, 94061 and a Funeral Mass will be held on Monday June 10th at 10am at St. Anthony's Church located at 3500 Middlefield Road, Menlo Park, 94025.
