Rose Leksan Obituary

Rose Leksan Died at her home in Sonoma, CA on August 4, 2011, she was 77. Known to family and friends as "Aunt Rose," she was a native of San Francisco who loved life and doted on her family. She is survived by nieces Karen Voyne , Elyse Biggs, and Cindy Davidson; nephews Michael Leksan and Val Davidson; grand nieces Candice Fusi and Sophia Leksan; grand nephews Calen Davidson and Cole Leksan; great niece Mia Fusi and great nephews Eli and Lane Fusi. She worked at Metropolitan Life and Shell Oil Company, as an administrator, and upon retirement made Sonoma her home. She volunteered at local elementary schools, sang in the Sonoma Valley Chorale and was an active member of the KSKJ St. Francis Slovenian lodge in San Francisco. Friends are invited to attend a funeral mass, on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 601 West Agua Caliente Rd., Sonoma, CA. Private internment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice by the Bay, 190 West Napa Street, Sonoma, CA 95476. www.hospicebythebay.org. Arrangements under the direction of Duggan's Mission Chapel, 525 West Napa Street, Sonoma, CA.

To Rosie's family:
I met Rose on a cruise and always called her Rosie...She went to Mission High School which I passed everyday on my way to St. Paul's high school. Rosie and I played Pedro together...I also new her friend Virginia...Rose was a sweetheart and I always looked forward to seeing her at our Pedro games..
