Stephanie "Stevie" Lipney-Farago Obituary
Stephanie "Stevie" Lipney-Farago

May 9, 1944 - July 11, 2014

San Francisco-born artist, Stephanie "Stevie" Lipney-Farago transitioned into celestial eternity on July 11 at 8:30 AM HST. Stevie bequeathes to the world several personal legacies, most notably: the founding of her Maui, Hawaii art collective "Peace Paradise", her masterfully produced book, "The Magic and Romance of Art Dolls," and a forthcoming film and book, "Heavenly Bodies," honoring her mentor and muse, late Los Angeles contemporary surrealist, Steven Arnold.

Stephanie was a consummate artist and a teacher of art, who truly believed that there should be no separation between the celebration of art and living life. Blessed with a dynamic, playful spirit, she radiated bliss through her multi-dimensional artistic expressions: love of costume parties, Tarot cards, Burning Man, music and animals. Stevie's dramatic talent and colorful personal style attracted the attention of HGTV for a tour of her former museum-like Los Angeles home. In addition, her Art Deco Doll Collection was featured at "The Egg and The Eye" Museum leading to talk show appearances.

She was known among many as the wacky psychic reader "Madam Olga" and was honored for her philanthropic gestures as "Lakshmi Devi". Her influence and her legend will far outlive her theatrical flare for the carnival of life.
