Joseph Piazza Obituary
June 1, 1920 - September 25, 2018
As he did in life, Joe did it his way, and passed peacefully in his own home on September 25, 2018, at the age of 98, just in time to reunite with wife, Ann to celebrate their 77th wedding anniversary (9/27/18) in heaven.He served in the Navy during WWII on the USS Isabella and Enterprise and honorably discharged 10/10/45. A marine mechanic by profession, he serviced numerous fishing boats, yachts, and ships in the SF Naval shipyard and was a longstanding union member of the International Association of Machinists & Aerosmith Workers.
Beloved father of Linda Piazza-Simpson (Dennis), grandsons: Matt (Jessica), Scott (Rebecca), Patrick, great grandchildren: Connor, Heidi, Riley, Ashley and a large extended Italian family (Piazza & Carrabino) of brothers/sisters (in-laws), nieces/nephews (great), cousins (1st & 2nd), godchildren, numerous neighbors and friends spanning his 90+ years residency in SF.
Family and friends are invited to his memorial service on Friday, October 12th at 11am at Chapel of the Highlands, 194 Millwood Drive in Millbrae. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to your favorite charity.

Uncle Joe was a good guy. I really appreciated the time he took to sit down and video record with me the history of the Piazza family and his stories of WWII.
I also remember the time he drove my Nonni and Nonnu up to the Italian Village. He drove them in a early 60's automobile that was still in MINT condition for the mid 80's. I always remember thinking how did he keep that car looking so new.
