Mary Whalen

Mary Lou Whalen Of Roseville, CA passed away on Sunday, September 25th, she was 70 years old. Mary was the eldest daughter of John and Wilda Chastulik, born in Burgettstown, PA and graduating from Burgettstown High School in 1958. Mary was married to William Whalen also of Burgettstown, PA. Mary was a loving mother of 4 sons and also an accomplished and award winning artist. With a caring heart and loving nature, Mary was an active volunteer with Al-Anon. Mary was part of the original group that brought the message of recovery to families and loved ones of Alcoholics to the people of Russia, a legacy of love and hope that continues today. Mary's love of food, both as a gourmet cook and an avid connoisseur was a passion enjoyed throughout her life. To those that knew Mary, all would agree that she possessed impeccable taste in design, style, and fashion. Mary is survived by four sons, Bill Whalen of Manteca, CA; Dennis Whalen of Mill Valley, CA; Tim Whalen of Roseville, CA; and Mike Whalen of San Francisco, CA. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Maggie, Madison, Annie, and William. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to Al-Anon World Headquarters. A family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 4th at the Roseville Cemetery.
