Val Charles Jay was born on July 26, 1947 and died on August 26, 2014 at the age of 67. Val was born and raised in San Francisco, California. He graduated from Lowell High School. He owned Val's Auto Upholstery in San Francisco for over 30 years.He was the only son of Charles and Violet Jay. Val will be remembered by his wife of 38 years, Mary Lou Jay, his children and their spouses, Suzie and Frank Williams, Mike and Maria Jay, Brett and Tina Jay, Shannon Jay, Chris and Amy Nichel, his ten grandchildren, Matthew, Cassie, Allison, Dylan, Jake, Lexie, Taylor, Alexandra, Dominic and Emma and his dear friends, especially Lou Seijas.
Val enjoyed his time with friends and family at his home in Russian River and his years with his beloved dog, Beau. He will be fondly remembered by all that knew him, especially for his wonderful sense of humor and quick wit.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Val on Saturday, September 13, 2014, 10:00 am at St. Robert's Church, 1380 Crystal Springs Road, San Bruno, CA 94066.

I loved this man with all my heart. He welcomed me into his world with no conditions. If he asked for help, I leaped at the chance to be around him. The thought of never seeing him again in this life can't be put in to words. There's a hole in this world forever.
