Eddie Lodigiani Obituary

Eddie Lodigiani

October 7, 1920 - April 2, 2015

Our beloved Dad and Nonno passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2015. He is now reunited with his loving wife Florence to whom he was married for 60 years, his brothers Aldo, Dario, and Louis, and his best friend James Fisicaro.

Eddie was born and raised on Telegraph Hill and made many lifelong friends from Garfield School, Francisco Junior High, and Galileo High School. He shared a love of baseball with his brother Dario, and played on local sandlot teams including Paul's Corner. He had the opportunity to play on the road for minor league teams in Kansas, Nebraska, and Florida. A staunch supporter of the SF Giants, he enjoyed watching games up until his last days. He and Florence loved to travel, especially to Northern Italy where both had family. Eddie's other passions were golf, hunting, gardening, and cooking.

Eddie was employed in the sheet metal trade and was a proud member of the SMW Union 104 for over 75 years. After living in South San Francisco for more than 50 years, Eddie and Florence moved to Oroville where they spent many warm, happy days until Florence passed away in 2009. The last five years were spent with daughter Christine and son-in-law Harold Morrow in San Jose.

Eddie is survived by son Louis (Lola), daughter Christine Morrow (Harold), grandsons Brandon (Mia), Brent, and Joseph Lodigiani, Matthew (Nicole) and Michael (Shelby) Morrow, as well as great-granddaughters, Alyse, Sophia, Gianna, Aubrey, Iani, Addison, and Natalia.

Eddie and Florence will be interred at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento during a private ceremony.
