A long time Noe Valley resident, died peacefully in her home on August 7th. Helen is survived by her sons, Ken and Dean Lundie, her grandson Steven and her sister Edna, plus many family members in North Dakota and the Bay Area.

Helen, one of eight children, was born in 1923 on her father's wheat farm in Burleigh County, North Dakota. She spent almost all of her adult life in San Francisco, working at John Adams Adult School and 21 years as supervisor of the Food Stamp program at City Hall. Helen loved to cook and entertain, and also catered events in San Francisco. Her religious life was important to her; she spent many years as a very involved member of Holy Innocents before joining All Saints Episcopal Church. A celebration of her long and productive life will be held on September 19th at 4:00 p.m., All Saints Episcopal Church, 1350 Waller Street, San Francisco. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to Holy Innocents Episcopal Church at 455 Fair Oaks, or All Saints Episcopal Church on Waller street.
