April 28, 1921 - September 5, 2015
Hank Lockwood passed away peacefully at home with his family near him in Burlingame, California on September 5, 2015. He was born on April 28, 1921 in Rockford, Illinois, the oldest of four children born to Hanford N. Lockwood II and Lillian (Atkinson) Lockwood. Both Hank and his father served in the Army during World War II, but his father died en route to a Japanese prisoner of war camp on a death ship sunk by the Allies transporting prisoners from the Cabanatuan Camp where personnel from the Bataan Death March were incarcerated.

Fair seas and tailwinds, Hank. I'll always remember sailing from Coyote Point and Sea Ranch. Dan was a good friend of mine and you were a strong father figure to him and me as well. You did well.
Dan and Susan, I miss you guys. My condolences for your loss.

My condolences to Barry and Tom Lockwood , whom I remember well, on the loss of their amazing father-one of the real old timers from Manila. How wonderful to learn that he had such a long and full life. Their classmate at AS and swimming team member. Estelle Fisher '68
