I am so sorry to learn of Mickey's illness and death. My daughter and I had the pleasure of dancing with her for a little while at Molloy's. She was so friendly and fun. My condolences to her family and friends.

To the Murphy family,
I was a classmate of Mickey's at Santa Clara University from 1969 - 1973. We lived in the same dorm for a few years and played on the "Foxy Ladies" powderpuff football team together. We didn't win many games but we sure had a lot of fun! Mickey was always a bright light, full of fun and laughter. I've only seen Mickey once since we graduated and that was at our 30-year reunion. She still had the same great smile. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and send my condolences to her family and friends.

To all the Murphy family,
Our hearts are broken for your loss, but what a woman she was! She is with your parents and her darling Bobby, and for that you can be grateful. We should all face our struggles and trials as she did; blessings to her and to all of you. May the joy of Christ's resurrrection bring you comfort in the difficult days ahead.
Our love and prayers,
Tim & Sharon Dean

Ms. Murphy
THE teacher everyone wanted their kid to have. THE teacher every kid knew they wanted to get. My oldest was lucky enough to "get" her and our family, like so many others, was touched by who she was, how she lived and how she made changes in our son. I hope she is out there "fearlessly" reading the words of and hearing the voices of the changed world she left behind. She is missed.

So very sorry to hear of Mrs. Murphy's passing. She was teacher to our rambunctious little boy, Finn, and was always so sweet and kind to him. Her calm and gentle approach helped him grow into the wonderful young man he is today. We will always remember her with great fondness.

Truly sorry to hear of Mickeys passing, she fought her disease with spirit and dignity. I always enjoyed running into her Tuesday mornings while she visited with her friends. I will always have my memories of nights spent at Molloys dancing jigs and reels preparing for our paddys day performance...fond times with special women. She was a special and dear friend of my mom, it brings comfort knowing they now have eachother to watch over us all. Comfort and prayers to your family.
Fondly,

Danny and Marie - our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I loved it when Mickey asked about my handsome boys (she was the only one who could make Paul blush!).
Mickey's sincerity and compassion was evident in the lives she touched and she will leave in a big hole in our family and community.

Mickey was always a beautiful and sweet girl, woman, and friend. I was blessed to know her since 1st grade and the rest of her life. All who have known Mickey and her "sister" Barb since the Irish Step Dancing days remember them floating across the floor in perfect unison. I think they have always been in perfect unison! I know she is really happy now and a real angel, no longer in pain and watching over us all with beautiful Irish Eyes. Our prayers are for all who will miss her so much, her family and friends.
