William Herbert Obituary
He was predeceased by his beloved mother Cathryne Herbert (nee Clary) and brother Elwood F. Jr. He is survived by his children, Katherine (Jim), Susan (Robert), and William J. His grandchildren, Namy and Jack, called him "Grampy". Bill was a kind and loving man who was always present for his family.
Born on February 26, 1922 in Pittsburg, CA, he was an alumni of UNM, Northwestern and USF. Bill brought levity and determination to every business venture. "You work to live, you don't live to work" was a motto. Starting work at 8 years-old and retiring at 90, he epitomized a generation.
Friends may visit after 5:00pm on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave. Daly City, with a rosary service at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Stephen Church, 451 Eucalyptus Dr., SF. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.

We were so sorry to miss your father's services. Didn't hear about his passing until yesterday. We lov d him so much, and always enjoyed being around him when our father was alive. They always made us laugh.
