Arndt, Janet W.
Janet W. Arndt, age 84, of Random Lake, passed away Early Thursday Morning (Feb. 7) at Gables on Pond in Random Lake surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on February 24, 1928 in the Town of Scott, WI, a daughter of the late Harvey and Lydia Backhaus Kaiser.
She attended Long Fellow Grade School in the Town of Scott and graduated from Random Lake High School and Sheboygan County Normal School.
On June 12, 1948, she married Armin Arndt at St. Paul's UCC in Silver Creek.
The couple has resided and farmed on the family homestead in (Lone Spruce Farms) in the Town of Scott since their marriage.
She owned/operated A&K Catering with her mother for over 30 years.
She is a member of New Horizon United Church of Christ in Town of Farmington, former member of Women of the Moose in West Bend and Tri county Pork Producers and Farmers Union.
Janet loved cooking, baking (especially wedding cakes), shopping and spending time with her lovely grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include: Her husband of 64 years: Armin of Random Lake; Four children: Marjorie (Glenn) Zimmermann of Random Lake, Gerald (Patricia) Arndt of Random Lake, Duane Arndt of Random Lake and Brian (Jennifer) Arndt of Random Lake; Fourteen grandchildren: Connie Zimmermann of Random Lake, Corine Meyer of Sullivan, WI, Craig (Diana) Zimmermann of New Mexico, Carmen (Alan) Hillstead of Michigan, Chad (Sandy) Arndt of Random Lake, Valerie (Todd) Stange of Random Lake, Maureen Mecham of Town of Farmington, Jason (Paula) Harter of Adell, Amy (Marcus) Jones of San Antonio, TX, Roy Arndt of Santa Fe, NM, Neal Arndt of Adell, Kimberly Arndt of New Berlin, Rachel (Steve) Gold of Trenton, WI, and Jennifer Arndt (Fiancée: Donald Brasch) of Sheboygan; Nineteen great grandchildren; Brother and sisters-in-laws: Geraine Eisentraut of Waupaca, Howard Arndt of Belgium, WI, Martin (Kathy) Arndt of Crooked Lake, WI, Sylvia Zier of Random Lake and Daniel (Judy) Arndt of Town of Farmington; One daughter-in-law: Chris (James) Mueller of Plymouth.
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by one son: Dale; one grandson: Peter; one brother-in-law: Robert Arndt and one sister-in-law: Letha LeClaire.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday Afternoon (Feb. 10) at 3:30 P.M. at New Horizon United Church of Christ in the Town of Farmington. Rev. David Schlieter, pastor of the Church will officiate. Cremation will take place following the services.
Relatives and friends may call at the CHURCH on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Janet's name.

You have my sympathy, on the death of your Mother. I had a chance to visit with her and your Dad at Gables, when I was there with the Theraphy dogs. I was sure suprised to see her.
I have lots of fond memories of her and your dad. Going way back to when they were on the farm.
Sorry I couldn't make the funeral, I had a previous engagement.
