Charlotte R. Blanke, age 94, of Sheboygan (formerly of Plymouth), passed away early Wednesday morning (March 6) at Sheboygan Senior Center where she had been a resident for the last 5 days.

She was born on October 28th, 1918 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late John and Johanna Backus Baumann.

She attended Holy Name Grade School in Sheboygan.

On May 13, 1939, she married Carl H. Blanke at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan. The couple resided in Plymouth for 60 years after their marriage before moving to Sheboygan in 1998.

She worked at Shell Patterns in Plymouth for many years, retiring in 1981.

Her husband preceded her in death on January 30th, 2001.

She was a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and belonged to the Christian Women's Society and the Daughters of Isabella in the Church and now is a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Charlotte was a Charter member and Past President of Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post #5612 Auxiliary.

She enjoyed crafts, playing cards, bingo, crocheting and the love of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Charlotte enjoyed summers at the cottage on Wilke's Lake with family and friends.

Survivors include: one daughter: Eunice Wilsing of Sheboygan; four grandchildren: Jay (Cindy) Wilsing of Sheboygan, Fay (Roger) Reinwand of Sheboygan, Amy Wilsing (Special friend, Joe Ward) both of Sheboygan and Jeff (Lori) Wilsing of Sheboygan; eleven great grandchildren: Stacy (Adam), Ryan, Christopher, Jessica, Amanda, Nicole, Samantha-Jo, Matthew, Cory, Devon and Will and five great-great grandchildren.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Roger Wilsing; six sisters and eight brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning (March 9) at 11:30 A.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Fr. Wayne Bittner will officiate. Cremation has taken place and Inurnment will be in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Plymouth.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.

A memorial fund is being established in Charlotte's name.
