Random Lake - Mr. Don Deppiesse of the Town of Sherman passed away peacefully at his home, while surrounded by his family, on Monday afternoon, August 6, 2018 at the age of 81. Don was born on June 11, 1937, son of Harry and Mildred Phillips Deppiesse; he grew up in the Town of Sherman and attended local schools, graduating from Random Lake High School Class of '55, after which he enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served on the USS Shangri La from 1955 until 1957. On May 30, 1959 Don was united in marriage with Myra Falk, daughter of Laurin and Norma Suemnicht Falk, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Random Lake. The couple settled in Random Lake and started their family.

Prior to becoming an electrician, Don worked at Bolen's in Port Washington. After becoming a proud member of Electrical Union Local 494, he worked for Olsen Electric, Miller Electric and Specht Electric before starting his own shop, D&S Electric, which later became Midway Electric. With his wife Myra, the couple also ran Midway Restaurant and the Dixie Inn Supper Club. In 1994 they decided to go west and spent five years in Las Vegas (where Don worked at Mohave Electric) before moving to San Francisco, CA (where he worked at Pac Park Stadium). They came back to Wisconsin in 2000 and bought their current home in the Town of Sherman. Mr. Deppiesse officially retired in 2001 but worked on a part-time basis cutting grass at Squires Country Club, Black Wolf Run, and Times Printing for the Scholler family until he had a stroke in 2016.

Mr. Deppiesse was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish. He was also a member of the Random Lake Lions Club, a Past-Commander of the Random Lake VFW Post 10820, a social member of the American Legion Post 82 in Port Washington, and a former member of the Port Washington Fire Department. Don was a very family-oriented man and loved spending time with his kids. He looked forward to the yearly vacations, hunting trips and camping trips, as well as motorcycle vacations with his wife. He also had a passion for bowling.

Don is survived by his loving wife Myra and their three children: Alan "Joe" (Dyan) Deppiesse of Random Lake, Kim (Dan) Mondloch, also of Random Lake, and Sue Endres (special friend Michael Blane) of Ft. Meyers, FL, 6 grandchildren: Amber Endres (fiancé Jon Travis) and Ashley Endres (fiancé Jared Johnson), both of Madison, Dana (Charles) Trotter of Watertown, Kirstie Deppiesse (fiancé Jeff Thull) of Random Lake, Travis Deppiesse, also of Random Lake, and Aubree Endres (fiancé Chuck Quackenbush) of Ft. Meyers, FL, and 7 great-grandchildren: Bentley & Lincoln Trotter, Wyatt & Cashten Thull, Jasber & Jamous Johnson, and Kolt Quackenbush. He is further survived by his sisters Dorothy (Orville) Wells of Lakewood, JoAnne (Richard) Mueller of Random Lake, Ceil (Dennis) Jandre of St. Cloud, WI and Judy Guetzke (special friend Jim Schmitt) of Hancock, WI, sister-in-law Betty Deppiesse of Belgium, brothers- and sisters-in-law Bruce & Bev Falk of Kewaskum, Sandy & Tom Ingram of Madison and Gary & Jackie Nachreiner of Spring Green, former-son-in-law John Endres of Fort Meyers, FL, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his grandson Austin Endres, brother Jim Deppiesse, brother-in-law Ray Guetzke, parents-in-law Norma & Laurin Falk, stepfather-in-law Harry Nachreiner, and sisters & brothers-in-law Leatha (Cliff) Wendorf, Iris (Harold) Seefeldt, Betty (Alfred) DeMarce and Herbert Falk.

He will be missed by many, especially his faithful canine friend Rowdy, who was at Don's side right up to the end.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 6:30 PM on Friday, August 10th at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish - St. Mary's Chapel, Random Lake. Father Richard Cerpich will preside. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Friday from 2:30-6:15PM. According to Don's wishes, memorials are suggested to a in lieu of flowers.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Scot Wilfong, Aurora Medical Center - Grafton and Compassus Hospice of Sheboygan, and special thanks to their Las Vegas friends Judy & Leon VanOstrand, for all of the hard work and wonderful care given to Don and the family throughout the last 18 years.
