LaVerne A. Albrecht

Kiel - LaVerne A. Albrecht, age 92, of Kiel, met her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, March 3, 2021. LaVerne was born on September 19, 1928 in the town of Centerville to Carl and Adelaide (Wagner) Leiteritz. She attended Maple Leaf School. On November 27, 1947 she married Harlan Albrecht.

In 1950 they purchased their farm in the town of Centerville. LaVerne tirelessly looked after the needs of her family and the household affairs. To make their farm a success, she and Harlan diligently worked together on all the farm duties, including daily chores and field work. They retired after 43 years of farming and moved to Kiel; and wintered at their home in Mesa, AZ for 25 years. While they were married they enjoyed going on vacation and they visited 11 foreign countries and all 50 states. LaVerne was a past member of Manitowoc County Homemakers.

LaVerne will be fondly remembered by her loving husband of 73 years, Harlan; children: Alaine (Kenneth) Bub, Kiel and Kay Albrecht, Cedarburg; grandchildren: Jason (Lynn) Bub, Jeremy (Beth) Bub, Nicholas (Randa) Monge, Richard (Amber) Monge and 8 great grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry, two sisters: Dorothy (Herbert) Erdman and Gertrude (George) VandeLoo, two brothers: Willard (Fern) Leiteritz and Milton (Doris) Leiteritz.

Funeral Services for LaVerne will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, (387 Cemetery Road, Kiel). Private family burial will take place at Saxon Cemetery, town of Centerville.

The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Saturday from 9:00AM until 10:45AM when brief family rites will be held. Family requests those in attendance, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
