Lucille E. "Lucy" Kuehne Obituary
Lucille E. "Lucy" Kuehne

Milwaukee - It is with sadness but peace that we announce the death of Lucy on June 5, 2018. She passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee. Lucy was born on July 6, 1938, the daughter of Rudolph and Carol (Kester) Kuehne.

She, with her six siblings grew up in Black River where hours were spent in Lake Michigan either swimming, water skiing, or boating. She was not only a participant in other sports but was also an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Bucks fan,

She graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1956. She then continued her education at Milwaukee County General Hospital School of Nursing receiving her diploma in 1959.

Milwaukee then became her home for the remainder of her life. Her expertise was with psychiatric and geriatric patients. She loved the challenges of nursing and strove to provide the very best care to all that she encountered. During her career as a registered nurse she held positions as a staff nurse, instructor, and supervisor.

Her family was equally important to her. Even though many miles separated her from nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters she still had a keen interest in knowing what was happening in everyone's lives.

Lucy died in peace and she will always be remembered as a loving and caring sister, aunt, companion and nurse.

Lucy is survived by her brother, Carl and four sisters, Kathy Verhyen, Carol (William) Sutkus, Marie Warbler, and Jacqueline (Ralph) Hawley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many great nieces and nephews. In addition, she is survived by a life-long companion, Brian Rosenblum

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brother-in-laws, Larry Verhyen and Doyle Warbler, a sister-in-law, Judith Kuehne as well as the following nieces and nephews: Patti Kuehne, Terry Kuehne, Tina (Kuehne) Erling, Todd Kuehne and Nicol Warbler.
