Ehlenbeck, Verna V. (1929-2013)

Verna V. Ehlenbeck, age 84 of Greenbush, passed away early Thursday evening (Nov. 14) at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center where she had been a patient for 8 days.

She was born on February 8, 1929 in the Town of Herman, WI, a daughter of the late Arthur and Lydia (Grunewald) Fink.

On April 4, 1946 she married Robert Ehlenbeck.

She worked at Voelker's Supper Club, Elenco in Elkhart Lake and the Kohler Company for 27 years retiring in 1991.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Plymouth.

She enjoyed crocheting doilies, sewing clothes for her grandchildren, gardening, feeding and watching the birds, going to the casino and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Verna was known as being a very strong and independent woman.

She is survived by: Three children: Judy (Frank) Zimmermann of Elkhart Lake, Donald (Linda) Ehlenbeck of Elkhart Lake and Sharon (Jerome) Sippel of Fond du Lac. Six grandchildren: Ronald Zimmermann of Elkhart Lake, Donald (Danielle) Zimmermann of Elkhart Lake, Charles Ehlenbeck of Elkhart Lake, Amy (Scott) Bruch of Jackson, Wendy (Dirk) Hansen of Eau Claire, Todd (Sarah) Sippel of Appleton.

Seven great grandchildren: Dylan Bruch, Megan, Carl and Grace Hansen, Caleb, Hannah and Abby Sippel.

Seven brothers and sisters: Gertrude Ninmer of Kiel, Elvira Ehlenbeck of Sheboygan, Caroline Johnson of Sheboygan, Harvey Fink of Sheboygan Falls, LeRoy (Margene) Fink of Franklin, Irma Woelfert of Sheboygan

and LouAnn Reinemann of Plymouth.

One brother-in-law: Eldon Voss of Cleveland and One sister-in-law: Dorothy Fink of Plymouth. Special friend: Edward Seibel of Armstrong.

Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers: Ray, Willard, Richard, Donald and Arthur Jr. and two sisters: Lorraine and Florence.

Memorial services will be held on Friday afternoon (Nov. 22) at 2:30 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Thomas Burton, of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth will officiate. Cremation has taken place.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home on Friday from 12:30 P.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Verna's name.
