Lizbeth A. Herzog Obituary
Herzog, Lizbeth A.

Lizbeth A. Herzog, 53, of 1917 N. 3rd St., went to be home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, June 11, 2011, surrounded and comforted by her loving family. For the past year she had persevered with cancer. Liz was born April 19, 1958, in Sheboygan, to Roger and Margaret (Abraham) Fraungruber. She attended Grant Elementary School before graduating from Sheboygan North High School, Class of 1976.

On Oct. 11, 1980, Liz and John Herzog were united in marriage. Liz was a dental assistant at the dental office of Dr. H. William Hoge in Sheboygan, for many years. Liz was a member of the Evangelical Free Church and was a Y.M.C.A. Board member. She enjoyed biking, competing as a tri-athlete, knitting, reading and took pride in being a blood donor. She was a youth group and AWANA leader at her church. She also took great joy in walking along the lakefront with her dog, Bo Bo.

In addition to mother, Peg, and her husband, John, Liz is survived by three children: Peter (Hana) Herzog and their son, Ezra; Emily Herzog (Bryan Teaters); and David Herzog; a sister, Wendy (Peter) Wilke, all of Sheboygan; and other family members.

Liz was preceded in death by her father, Roger.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 7 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church, 1710 N. 15th St. Dr. Gary A. Hylander, Senior Pastor, will officiate. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held at the church on Wednesday from 3 p.m. until the time of service.

A memorial fund has been established in her name.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bettag and staff, and the many physicians that cared for her at Froedtert Memorial Medical Center.

Liz maintained a strong spirit to the end; her body was not able to keep pace. She will be dearly missed.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.

II Timothy 4:7
