SALISBURY - Marjorie Ann Brown Haworth, 93, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Trinity Oaks.

Born September 8, 1924 in Cincinnati, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Carl Carson Brown and Myrtie Monson Brown. She graduated from Winthrop College with a Degree in Music Arts and taught in the elementary school until her retirement. She was a member of Shelby Presbyterian Church where she sang in the church choir and in the Trinity Oaks choir. She loved going to the beach with extended family and was an avid sports fan.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Homer F. Haworth of the home; son, Bryan Haworth (Julie) of Plano, Texas; daughters, Carlin Styers (Tom) of Albemarle, Ann Hatchett (Parker) of Salisbury; sister, Carson Baillie of Atlantic Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Anna Decker (Ben), Carson C. Hatchett (Sarah),

Corrine Haworth, Camille Haworth and Luke Haworth.

A graveside service will be conducted 9 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2018 at the Salisbury National Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday (May 21) at Trinity Oaks. Rev. Brenda Bynum, Chaplain at Trinity Oaks will officiate.
