Roger Sealey Obituary

ROGER SEALEY

SHELBY-Roger R. Sealey, 88, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, in Gastonia.

A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late William and Madge Devine Sealey. Roger served overseas in the Army, during WWII. He worked on the Nike Missile at Douglas Aircraft, was a lifelong member of the Church of God, and operated a dog grooming business for many years, along with his wife, Thelma.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; one sister; and three brothers.

He is survived by two aunts; several cousins; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.

Roger and Thelma were very special to me. When I was a teenager I attended Royster Avenur Church of God and they over saw the youth programs and let us hang out at there house on many occasions. What a wonderful couple. I have thought of them often through out the years. They are together once again. Loved them both.
