I have great memories of Uncle Mack, but only shared a few words with him during Holidays and also during the viewings of family that passed as well... God Bless you Sir. If you look up my Dad past the Golden Gates, I'm sure he'd love time to catch up with you, and maybe a fishing trip, if God can give yall a day pass to one of his favorite lakes. Maybe Toledo Bend? ;-)

I love reading the wonderful sentiments people have shared about Uncle Mack. I am not surprised at all that he is regarded as a wonderful Christian man, "most like Jesus." Rest in peace Uncle Mack. We can only imagine.

I grew up on Marion Place with the Boykins about the same ages as my siblings and myself.a wonderful family.
Mack could always be depended on and so much do I appreciate his visits to my elderly parents in their final days.
A fine family...a fine man. They are probably visiting again in the place that God has prepared for those who love Him.

Soon we'll reach the shining river,
Soon our pilgrimage will cease,
Soon our happy hearts will quiver,
With the melody of peace.
Yes, we'll gather at the river,
The beautiful, the beautiful river
Gather with the saints at the river
That flows by the throne of God.
I'm sure Uncle Mack sang these words many times in life.
Peace be with you.

His legacy of love will live on! May his family find peace in his love of Christ and comfort each other's hearts knowing that this man, their father, was one of God's own. Tom always speaks of his Father and how he had a heart for God. Sorry for your loss and may God bless each of you.

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Mack Osborn Boykin our “Brother-in-Arms”. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Mack. And to Mack it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during WW-II while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Mack, you are a true patriot, who served with honor and distinction. You upheld the finest qualities of an American patriot warrior: courage, commitment, generosity, sacrifice, love and devotion to family and country. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,261 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Mack's family and loved ones.

Mr. Boykin was loved by many. We always enjoyed his visit here at Boykin Brothers. He was such a kind and gentle man. I remember him always carrying his little poodle. I have fond memories of him at the camp on Toledo Bend, when my son "accidently" released a huge catfish he had in a basket, and Mr. Boykin just kindly smiled and forgot it. We will miss him.

To The Family of Mack Boykin,
I have no memories in life where the Boykins were not part of my surroundings. They go back to Fair Park Christian Church. Mr. Boykin was a true Christian, very hard worker who never got down on life even if it dealt blows that were not so positive. Even as a young child I remember the first days of Westview Christian Church out on Greenwood Road and then over on Darien and Portland. He and his family truly supported this church in its infancy. We would all do well to follow in Mr. Boykin's footsteps. May God Bless each of you and comfort you in your time of need.

Mr Mack Boykin was one of the greatest Christian men I ever knew and was very proud to know him. He actually 'lived' a Christian life for as long as I knew him. He was a good friend to everyone and enjoyed his entire family and was so proud of them. To know Mack, was to love him. May all his family be comforted in knowing there are some wonderful celebrations going on in Heaven. God be with all the Boykin family and friends. With much love, Judy Gilley Rayburn
