SUNSET BEACH , CA - Amanda died suddenly on the evening of November 2nd from heart disease; she was 62. Born in Louisiana, she moved to southern California in 1970 to start a family and build ties with her community . Amanda loved life, food, music and travel and she had recently retired after nearly 20 years with Orange County's Credit Union. She touched the lives of everyone that she knew with her love and generosity and her spirit will live in all our hearts and memories.

Amanda was my cousin & I so much admired her vitality and sense of fun.
She was a true free spirit and generous to everyone. As her cousin, she & Mikey had us over for Sunday dinners all the time and those memories of family, just sharing good food, a little sunshine and being...just being together...are the most treasured memories in my heart. I'm not good at being open, but Amanda was..and she will forever be loved at admired. I know she is off to a new adventure and having a glass of wine in heaven with Auntie Jany and a good slice of brie cheese and french bread. Here's a toast to a good life Amanda. You're family loves you.

So sorry to hear about Amanda. We were so close when we were kids and lost track of each other over the years. We reconnected on FaceBook not too long ago. I have so many wonderful memories of our time growing up. My thoughts will be with all of you during this time.
