MANSFIELD, LA - Services honoring the life of Artis L. Durr,65, will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Southside Baptist Church in Mansfield. Officiating the service will be Rev. Eli 'Skip' Noble, Jr. assisted by Rev. Mike McConahay. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9, Monday night at the Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel.

Mr. Durr was born on June 27, 1946 in Pleasant Hill, LA and entered into rest on March 4, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. Artis served in the United States NAVY and with the Shreveport Fire Department for 28 ½ years, along with running his own business, Durr's Heating and A/C.

Artis Durr is preceded in death by his parents, J.Y. and Lillian Blue Durr; grandchildren, Haize, Jaxon and Elijah Durr. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 42 years, Joyce Nell Patrick Durr; sons, Patrick Durr and wife, Shanna, of Shreveport, Kristopher Durr and wife, Melinda, of Stonewall, and Keith Durr and wife, Crystal, of Mansfield; grandchildren, Kayle Harrington Durr, Annie Hadley Durr, Kameron Durr, Kadin Durr, Raygan Durr, Levi Durr and another expecting grandson in June, Blocker Durr; sisters, Dorla Collins, of Shreveport, and Thelma Kreeger, of Denver, CO and brother, Truman Durr, of Pleasant Hill.

Honoring Mr. Artis Lynn Durr as pallbearers will be, Bruce Walker, Ronnie Robinson, Barbara Sellers, Mike Durr, Tony Fletcher, Sammy Nichols, Lee Woods and Bob Maynor. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Shreveport Fire Dept. and his Breakfast and Lunch Crew.
