Bryan Ardis Robison II

Shreveport - Bryan Ardis Robison II passed away on January 5, 2021 at the age of 73, in his hometown of Shreveport, LA after complications from COVID-19.

Ardis is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan "Suzee" Robison (née Segall); son, Bryan Ardis Robison III (Morgan); daughter, Jennifer Robison Goodpaster (Jeff); granddaughter, Jena Goodpaster; grandsons, Bryan Ardis Robison IV and Jeffrey Knox Goodpaster; brother, James Wendall Robison (Kay); and sisters, Catherine Robison Patton (James) and Patricia Robison Braud (Scott). Ardis is predeceased by his parents, Bryan Ardis "Robbie" Robison and Lil Hoover Robison; and beloved dogs, Mayzee, Minx, and Misty.

Ardis was born in Shreveport, LA on January 19, 1947. As a child he attended Southfield School across the street from his childhood home and graduated from Byrd High School in 1965. He earned a degree in Economics in 1969 from Centenary College where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He married the love of his life, Suzee, in 1973, who he'd first met on a blind date in 1972. Upon Suzee's insistence, Ardis enrolled in LSUS to pursue a second degree in Accounting to prepare for the CPA exam. He joined the accounting firm of McKelvey & Farmer in 1975 shortly before son, Bryan III, was born. When Farmer retired in 1985, the firm became McKelvey & Robison until McKelvey's retirement in 2011. Ardis officially retired in 2015 shortly after his granddaughter was born. Throughout his life, he enjoyed doting on his children and grandchildren, spoiling his dogs, cooking, gardening, and learning about the latest in cars and technology. And despite his impeccable sweet tooth, he never had a single cavity.

A lifelong Catholic, Ardis was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. He and Suzee were members of B'nai Zion Congregation where he served as accountant for over 45 years. Dedicated to a life of service, Ardis served as president of East Shreveport Rotary Club, Exchange Club of Shreveport, and Pepper Tree Homeowners Association; and was Chairman of the Board of WESLA Federal Credit Union. He and Suzee volunteered for numerous organizations throughout Shreveport-Bossier and Ardis was well-regarded for his unwavering kindness, thoughtfulness, and support for those in need.

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Rabbi Dr. Jana De Benedetti, Dr. Himanshu Desai, Dr. Larry Broadwell, Sister Suny and the staff of Christus Highland for their exceptional care.

The family held a private funeral service with a celebration of his life to be held once it is safe to do so. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation in Ardis' memory to the following organizations or the charity of their choice:

Suzie- I'm so sorry to hear about Ardis. You know he never complained about his health. He was a joy to be around at Rotary.I loved he brought you with him often.
