Jonesboro - Dalton "Doc" Robinson, age 85 of Jonesboro, went home on October 10, 2018. Born on Tuesday, August 8, 1933, Doc was a life-long resident of Jonesboro, LA.

Doc is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Liz Martin Robinson; his children Angie Robinson Dye and Johnny Dye of Jonesboro, Terrie Robinson of Carrollton, Texas and Russ Robinson and Stacey Hausgen Robinson of Bossier City; his grandchildren Kayla Dye May, Jeremy and Kristy Dye, Jacob Thomas, Elizabeth Robinson and Joshua Robinson; great-grandchildren Evan & Eli May and Hudson & Shep Dye. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Rankin and Mattie Lou Robinson and his siblings Wilton, Glen and Faye Robinson.

Doc graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1955. He was a coach and teacher at Vinton High School (Vinton, LA) from 1955 to 1960 and Jonesboro-Hodge High School from 1960 to 1969. He became principal at Rundell Jr. High from 1968 to 1971 and at Jonesboro-Hodge from 1971 to to 1981. He served as Jackson Parish Superintendent of Schools from 1981 to 1989. He was a deacon at FBC for many years until his death. Doc loved God, his wife, his children, his grandchildren and was beloved by them. He got so much joy from coaching & teaching, playing golf, watching football and watching the Texas Rangers.
